Sometimes new clients are worried that I only photograph really beautiful, photogenic people… and they’re worried that their photos won’t turn out.

Many of the people I photograph have never had professional photos and tell me they never like any photos of themselves.

Let me let you in on a little secret: everyone I photograph (whether they are the most photogenic person or not), has some awkward photos. When I photograph people, sometimes I get them to do something a little silly knowing I will delete that photo, but also knowing that right after that awkward moment is usually the most natural, beautiful moment. Sometimes it’s just a fleeting look or smile, but I’m ready for it. The beauty of digital is that I can shoot through all those moments and facial expressions and just give my clients the absolute best ones.

Let me show you that you can LOVE photos of yourself.

Posting a “pretty” picture is very attainable

Posting a “pretty” picture is very attainable for almost anyone. You get the right lighting, the right setting, a beautiful subject, the right gear, and the right preset, and you can have a pretty picture.

I’ve heard from so many disappointed people over the years who wished they had hired an experienced photographer. They saw a few pretty pictures on Instagram and the price was right, so they hired that person assuming all their wedding photos would turn out like those perfect golden hour photos.

Little did they know that important moments on the wedding day would be missed, none of the reception photos would turn out because that photographer only had experience shooting in natural daylight, the family photos would be disorganized and chaotic, they would be uptight throughout the “formal portrait” part of the day because their photographer didn’t seem confident, and there would only be a couple of photos that were representative of what they had seen on Instagram.

It makes me sad hearing these things from people knowing they can’t go back and get better wedding photos. I don’t want that to happen to you! If you’re engaged and looking for a photographer, make sure you’ve seen more than just the “best of the best.”

I’d love to photograph your wedding, but if you’re looking for a different style from mine, I’m happy to recommend other experienced photographers. 🙂 I just want you to love your photos and have a wonderful experience.
