Pinterest weddings are a photographer’s dream – at least this girl’s. Chelsey and Cullen’s wedding was exactly that. It was styled beautifully, and I had a blast capturing every beautiful detail and handmade decoration they put so much effort into. From the winter greens and gorgeous bouquets to the hundreds of candles and beautiful guest favour display.
Chelsey and Cullen are a fun, easy-going couple with infectious smiles. Their willingness to go along with my ideas (even in the freezing cold) made for a fun time. The unexpected recent snowfall meant the locations we had scouted ahead of time were difficult to get to, so my second shooter and I trudged through creating pathways for the couple. I love it when couple’s trust me and are willing to do whatever it takes to get amazing photos. We discovered a stunning little forest area that created the perfect backdrop, and Chelsey and Cullen’s determination to brave the cold paid off.
The ceremony was lovely and brought out the character and values of the bride and groom. Their deep love for each other was obvious as well as their love for God – who was a key part of their ceremony. The tears and emotions shared throughout this time were sweet and meaningful.
The reception was perfect. Chelsey and Cullen decided to have a dessert reception including a cake bar with 19 different cakes from Baked Expectations as well as a specialty coffee bar provided by Cafe Postale. The couple’s vision was to create a laid-back coffee shop atmosphere with live music mixed in; I’d say they accomplished their goal while adding all the beautiful wedding details. And can I just say that the bride’s mom is beyond talented with all the calligraphy signs she made?
Every aspect of this winter wedding was stunning and I feel so privileged to have been able to photograph it.
