I love that every wedding is unique and represents the couples’ personalities. Rob and Nadine got married on their property – a place that has a lot of meaning to them. It is where Rob grew up and has lived his whole life.
It was a chilly October day for an outdoor wedding, but that didn’t stop it from being a beautiful wedding. Nadine had decorated with pumpkins from their garden and other fall accents and Rob built the gazebo they got married under (which he finished a couple days before the wedding and still smelled like fresh wood).
After the ceremony, we went and took some photos at the local fire hall where Rob is the fire chief. It was fun to incorporate so much of who they are into their photos. We then went to the Captain Kennedy House in St. Andrews for more photos. As soon as we got there, Rob got a 911 call. At first Nadine was worried because all the firemen were at the reception, and if they had to be called out, half their guests would be gone. Fortunately it was a simple, quick call that didn’t require Rob and the whole crew to go out.
The reception was exactly what Nadine and Rob wanted – simple and laid-back with a nice dinner and speeches. Later on at night, everyone was invited back to the couple’s place for a huge bonfire and fire works.
